well you may "not be a barney" but you are a total kook for even asking that question. We scored some perfect powder days at June this year, yep this year the one everyone complained about... June Mtn is not just about sking or snowboarding. its about the town and the people. Support June Mountain. Fishmas is in 5 days.

Carl Williams (June's GM) was working lift crew at Chair 2 today and he gave me a shout-out when he saw me passing through the gates. Told him I was sorry I never made it to Little J this season despite a few efforts to do so. Life issues and timing just conspired against me in making the trek this winter. Next season for sure. June will be open again.

What I learned this year about June is there are talkers ^ and doers/ People that are loyal to June were there. Reasons are not results. A HUGE shout out to those who were there! We had a ball.

Yep, we had fun even on the marginal days. And it was great seeing all the families and little kids there. Sorry if life prevented you from getting over to June this year SL.

Geez... It's only a cup of coffee away :-?

trek
1. to travel or migrate, especially slowly or with difficulty.

I guess we will see who shows up next season. Hope to see you there SkierBob. You and SL and the host of other June supporters that I haven't seen in a few years....

Correct, I used that word on purpose.

It would take some early morning planning to get up to my locker at Main Lodge in order to pack up my gear, put it in the car, double back to the Scenic Loop (if it's open) to drive the 25 minutes to June. What I usually try to do is plan a trip to June a day in advance and go fetch my gear while parked in the loading zone one afternoon, bring it home then leave for June directly the next morning. This season when the conditions were optimal at June (which obviously weren't often), I wasn't available to do this due to either other commitments, issues at home or weather/road conditions.

There's always next season and we can only pray for a great one!

I see your point. If I went up in the morning I would just put my boots on and ski at main.

I'll remind you next year to bring the sticks home with you at the end of the day.

I'll even offer to pick you up and drive you over to June. ;)

Yeah and that's another thing. In the winter months I take the bus up to Main. Trying to carry skis, poles and my boot bag on the bus and walk another 2 blocks to my house is nearly impossible without stopping a zillion times to rest and rejuggle! :D

I'll take you up on the ride to June next season. Swing by and get me on your way north!

I don't think she's complaining, just stating the facts.

I recommend a Sherpa
