Hell yeah, great they opened. Ed Roski is going to help them stay open.

June was lucky for the March Miracle storm.

Worst than 2012 actually.

I posted this in the Mammoth forum also.

They would have lost their FS permit I believe if they didn't open up. SL, OGT, anybody know the facts on that ?

According to SG (retired USFS on the Inyo National Forest) last year MMSA was in violation of having their permit cancelled for choosing not to open June Mtn. Had they chose not to have opened this year their permit would have been cancelled and a prospectus would have gone out to other interested parties.

if they don't get that tram back up instead of that poverty chair the families have to ride now or at least a new chair gondola thing so the families can get to the top and not be scared they are never going to do good. the families want to go but that chair has a pole in the middle and is just not good and they already have a tram they need to use. where is the manager? thanks bye

I actually talked to the manager. He said that they would love to put the tram back up but they've misplaced the cars. I told him that there's a person on the forum that might be abel to to help him find them. You might be getting a PM from the manager iloveskittles.

How many times do people have to tell iloveshit that the tram is gone, aka not there anymore?

+1 It had a design by Yan that was defective, caused a fatal accident at Whistler and resulted in Yan going out of business. Even if the equipment is still around, it would require a total reengineering job that probably would cost more than the proposed gondola.

Noentheless the original question is valid. MMSA violated debt covenants in 2012 and was forced by creditors to close June in 2012-13. Revenue in 2013-14 will be lower than in 2011-12, as OGT posted from this reference: http://monocounty.ca.gov/sites/default/ ... 3-2014.pdf. Hopefully Rusty has reworked MMSA's capital structure in some way that prevents a rerun of summer 2012 events. But I wouldn't assume anything until we get a lot closer to next season.
