It's a gorgeous day at June absolutely perfect weather and great snow! Crowded by June standards which means a couple of people in line. Great to see its busy!

Waited over 35 minutes to get on J1 at 4:30. Sure is a lot faster when you can board/ski down.

Here's a pic of the line to download J1 yesterday afternoon. Pretty crazy but the staff was doing their best to get everyone down the mountain as quickly as possible.

My friend was there and he overheard the conversation at the top of J1.

Liftie #1: Can this thing go any faster?
Liftie #2: No, I have it cranked all the way up.
Liftie supervisor: Make all kids under 12 sit on their parents laps and hold the skis and boards. That'll speed things up.

Dude, we're talking about June here. Mammoth stole all their good snowmaking equipment years ago...

And to me the line to get down J1 is a party. Everyone is happy and you have a beer or two in your pocket after the World Famous Antler bar has closed for the day.

Shades of Mt Baldy :) They should keep the lodge /bar open until the last soul is off the hill. A electronic sign with lift wait times offering drink/food specials if the line is longer than 5 minutes.
Lots of ways to take the sting out of that line....

Here's what it looked like from the 31st to the 3rd. I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else....

I wonder how the crowds are over there?

Brutal crowds here.

Now it's Tahoe for a week and back to June. I think the Face will be rideable after this next series of storms.
