It's amazing how some runs have gone from full coverage to done in just a few days including Stump Alley and some of the race courses. Top is still really fun and there were a ton of people on the hill today, by far the most I've ever seen this late in the season.

Another incredibly busy day for late season. There was even a line for the gondola. Cornice looked like a February day with probably 30 or 40 people on it at times. All in all it's still really fun for at least a few hours. Tomorrow is day 65 for my season 8-)

Probably got my two last days of the season in this past weekend. I had an absolute blast!

I did a poor job of capturing the sign reading the date (july 4, 2017) but point here is the strong interest represented by a long line at 10am...

The way to cornice..it will need constant maintenance

The choke in Hangmans gets worse everyday, rider is me, pic by Adawg on July 4th. I saw the latest pic from today and there are more chocolate chips, soon there will be mandatory air and or patrol closes it. So get on it soon if you want it done in July.

Glen Plake ripping Climax. Sign line had silky quality when I rode it.

Drop 2 choke is still doable but you'll have to get there somehow.

I expect Broadway to last another week or two thanks to heavy maintenance. The top ramps will need constant farming, so not sure how long the hill wants the bleeding to continue before opting to download.
But keeping it alive might sell more tickets (only on weekends) since most ability is in the intermediate range, and coverage is still good
July 4th crowd, busiest Ive ever seen...

Best guess (and via rumors) for official closing is Sunday, August 6th.

When a Patroller was asked how Hangmans was yesterday he responded "How much do you like your board?". Amazing difference today with the crowds gone.

I'm kinda amazed that St. Anton is the only way left down from the top of Ch. 1. However, I will gladly take it if it is open next weekend. I don't recall another year when St. Anton remained open after Broadway closed. Is it expected to be farmable and skiable for another week?

After a 3 week break from snow (July 2), it will be a pleasure to take a few more runs on our home mountain.

Seasonal or diehard - who cares? But I respectfully suggest that anyone who skis after the July 4 weekend should be classified as a "diehard", even if they cannot keep up with Glen Plake on Climax or follow Sam and Lindsey down Hangman's.

This season has been a lot of work and a lot of fun. I'm not sorry to see it come to an end, though, because 2017-2018 is waiting in the wings. Enjoy your summer, and let's hope and pray for another snowy winter.

I still see folks skiing/riding down the WROD on Broadway today. Slamski mentioned on FB that yesterday was the last day for that run and Chair 1 would only be accessible from St. Anton?!

Looks like MMSA snow placement crews are doing some stockpiling of snow to lookers left of Chair 3 to probably spread on St. Anton.

Windy today. Winds blowing 60 with gusts over 70mph on top. 23 on weather hold. First time wearing a jacket in about a month.

You mean we should actually bring jackets? What a strange thought! ;)

Just kidding, of course. We would never come to 10000' without a light jacket.

See you soon. Broadway, eh???
