The Orange County Register just published their article on Tim's "event". It goes into much greater detail on how
remarkable this was -

I don't need to tell you, but Hoag Hospital is Friggin' AWESOME! I'm so glad everything came together for you. As a parent I can't even comprehend what you must have been going through.

After all that has been done, with a remarkable recovery, Tim came down with appendicitis on Friday. Back to the hospital (Hoag) Friday night. Surgery Saturday, home Sunday. Doing fine, but this kid cannot catch a break.

One of his cardiologists wrote -

"I am going to buy Tim a fake ID, then we are going to Vegas. With what he has been through, his luck has got to change, and I want to capitalize on that."

Funny.

Appendicitis is trivial compared to what he's endured! Hope he has a speedy recovery and gets back to enjoying his summer.

Glad he is doing fine!

Hope it's OK to interject this bit of trivia but all three of my kids AND my wife were born at Hoag. That place has been around quite a while.

More trivia:

Most of our surgeries have been performed at Hoag, and I give them high ratings.

CyberK, I wish Tim all the best in his future athletic and scholastic life. His is truly a remarkable story and I am so glad it had a happy ending. I hope his appendicitis is but a blip in a future of excellent health.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words.

Update-

Timmy is doing just fine. Back to life-guarding and working at the Smoothie shop here in Huntington Beach.

All is fine now. I think it's over.

It's over.

Tim's journey is completed. Dr. does not want to see him for a year.

Wow.
