You are right June IS OPEN. JUNE SUX... mammoth please sell it!!!! MTN High North back in the day was epic.
Now I can bring myself to even driving that direction. I will continue to fly fish the sierra range until June's lift are open or continue to earn my turns one step at a time in the Virginia Lakes Backcoutry... When is Fishmas anyway?

Has anyone noticed that the toilet seats in Main are too low... They are 18" instead of the standard 24"
I keep getting my Sorels stuck when I take a crap....

Mammoth sucks... they should fire Rusty for this one...

How is mammoth going to claim Aspen of the West status if I can't even take a dump without complaining?

That's putting your mouth where your money was, I think you're the only one.

You could try a wider stance - but watch out for cops in the next stall.

Sorry to get back on subject but I rode 6 lifts today and ALL were actually between 16-18" above the snow & very comfortable to get on. Hope this will become the norm!

Here we go again! Well not really, I think the seat heights were A-OK last season, kudos MMSA.

But, ummmm, how does this happen?
http://ktla.com/2018/01/04/skier-caught ... to-safety/

One of the things that will always amaze me is how Chair 1 and Chair 2 are so different. They're both HSQs that go from a parking lot to the same freaking place. And yet one tends to have ramp problems, the other doesn't. One tends to slow down and stop, the other doesn't. And one has lifties so darn stupid, that not only does it go around the loading bullwheel with the bar already down, but I guess nobody was even standing around to press the Stop button when people started screaming.

Tips up!

They fixed the problem with chair 2 stopping all the time by redoing the first two towers that had come out of alignment.

As discussed over on the winter conditions thread on Saturday. Cheapski had asked about the incident and here was my response:

Quote:
Apparently the safety bar was down when she and her family went to load onto the chair. (This tells me the liftie and the family weren't paying enough attention!) When they tried to load the chair, it pushed her mom and sibling forward and away, but her ski got caught in the foot rest of the bar so the chair drug her up a little way before the shouting family could get the liftie to shut down the chair. Patrol and others got out the safety net and once she was able to loosen her ski, she fell square into the net. Unfortunately, a Patroller's hand got hit by her ski as she fell into the net and either broke or lacerated his hand so he had to go to the hospital.

In the comments there's a couple people convinced this was last season. The sliders on the descent in the background are acting ho-hum like it happens all the time. A safety note to those of you who lap Stump Alley: Please do not ride right under the chair.

If a person is about to fall on top of you from above and there's no time to quickly step aside, what is the procedure?
