1/27/17 Town temporary overnight parking program...looks like the Town is listening to the concerns of the community. Please share this information everywhere you can so our weekend visitors and guests know where they can park. Thank you!

Will those lots be available this coming weekend and even past that?

I know that snow removal is nowhere near complete in my condo complex, and probably lots of others. There are huge piles of snow where there should be parking spots.

I haven't heard so I suggest you call the Town and ask. My thought is they would continue utilizing these parking areas until snow can be cleared from the condo complexes.

So happy to see these options and I hope they continue! That's always been my biggest complaint, not enough parking. Some folks rent a condo with three families and only get one or two spots.

Free overnight parking options extended through this weekend of 2/3-2/5. Vehicles must be moved by Monday morning, 2/6. Two more lots added.

TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT PARKING PROGRAM EXTENDED

The Town of Mammoth Lakes is extending designated temporary overnight parking sites this weekend for lodging guests and visitors in need of parking. Due to the excessive snowfall this January and the limited availability of hotel and condominium parking, the Town has identified six locations throughout the community, with the majority of sites conveniently located near or adjacent to transit routes. Visitors are requested to park their vehicles in the designated areas for the weekend and use the complimentary transit service.

Temporary overnight parking locations can be found on the attached map and are as follows: Hillside Parking Lot, Tavern Park & Ride, Mammoth Ice Rink - Upper Lot, Mammoth Creek Park, Volcom Brothers Skate Park and the Mono County Court Parking Lot (very limited availability - lot is not plowed during snowstorms). Visitors will not be ticketed during their stay but are asked to vacate the temporary overnight parking sites by no later than Monday morning.

The Mammoth Lakes Police Department is reminding citizens that there is no street parking from November 1 through April 30. Vehicles found parked in violation of these ordinances are subject to receiving a parking citation and/or in some cases, vehicles may be impounded at the owner’s expense.

For additional information about this program please visit http://www.townofmammothlakes.ca.gov, follow Eastern Sierra Transit Authority on Twitter @estabus or review the winter transit map and routes online at: http://www.estransit.com.

Nope, these are just regular private property parking lots.

Only at Mammoth Mtn. RV Park and you have to pay.

You will be charged double due to the "Clangers" in your tank. :D

Omygosh! We finally know who Skittlekid's uncle is;

Superbad at genealogy, but if cousin Eddie is Skittlekid's Uncle, does that make Rusty and Aubrey Skittlekid's cousins once removed?

Bit of a no brainer, but the town extended the parking exemption to the President's Day weekend too.

Hopefully I can get a spot in the Mammoth Creek Park lot.

Thanks for posting that psg. I was not available to post it earlier this morning. I was hoping the ToML would extend this program through the holiday weekend. They really had no choice!
