...This year, Mammoth introduced their "Work + Play Membership" for $99 a month. With their membership, members receive a 2017/18 Cali4nia Season Pass (which includes lift access to Mammoth, June Mountain, Big Bear, and Snow Summit), additional lift access at Mammoth and June Mountain through January 2019, a Mammoth Bike Park Pass for summer 2018, and unlimited access to the Fort, Mammoth's new coworking spaces that debuted this season...

'member when, before the MVP pass, season passes were $1200/year, but Mammoth also offered all sorts of discounted lift tickets, including getting them at Vons? Yeah, this is like that, only without the discounted lift tickets at Vons.

Co-working spaces. So hot right now. Or not. Who's the target? Local couch surfers living 9 to a studio? They're already broke. Visitors already renting a hotel room or condo? Why not work there.

The $99/mo deal is good through 1/31

Pretty good deal if you ski/snowboard and mtn bike and need a location to get some work done.

The target is Silicon Valley companies with money to blow, and they'll pay the membership for their high performers so that they work even while they're on vacation...

I'll never forget riding up Chair 15 many years before iPhones and seeing some Asian industrialist stopped under the lift making a mobile phone call from the backpack housing his phone that his manservant, also on skis, was carrying on his back. It seemed very exotic at the time. Times have changed. Or maybe they havent if people still feel compelled to be electronically tethered all the time.
