https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20180125005747/en/Introducing-Ikon-Pass-Uniting-North-America%E2%80%99s-Premier

The Ikon Pass is a collaboration of seven industry leaders - Alterra Mountain Company, Aspen Skiing Company, Alta Ski Area, Boyne Resorts, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, POWDR, and Snowbird. Each demonstrates integrity, character and independence that is reflected in their mountains and guests.

Since it's not specific to Alterra-owned resorts I wouldn't be surprised if Alterra offers another pass too.

No California Pass and possible black out dates?

Really Mammoth?

QUESTION: HOW MANY DAYS ON THE SLOPES DO WE GET AT EACH MOUNTAIN ON THE IKON PASS?
Answer: Pass privileges will range from full unlimited access to a set number of days that will vary by destination. More details to be released in the coming weeks

This should be interesting. I could see some days at Squaw/Alpine, but I'm not leaving the state to ride.

What about those of us that don't give a rats ass about any of these resorts besides Mammoth?

Then the cost of our Mammoth Pass just went up with no added value. I'm in the same boat.

Me too. I hate when they release few details and just let the rumors begin. I saw a response from MM on Facebook that they will be offering the Mountain Collective so I asked about the Califo4nia Pass. Let's see if I get a response.

I have been a pass holder since 06/07.

MVP brings in so much money for Mammoth. I can't see them ruining that model.

No California Pass means I'll probably never go to Bear/Summit again.

Kinda hoping for a cheaper CA only local pass with just discounts in their three other zones.

I see a 5 day total at each resort in the $500 range. And a tier for unlimited for closer to $900.

We'll see.

Mammoth will lose a great deal with Big Bear out of this (having paid so much for that resort and having a zippo year this year), so probably will offer a CA pass, separately. Would be a bonus if they included a discount in the other zones.

What do you mean by "Mammoth will lose a great deal with Big Bear out of this... "?

Big Bear is included in the IKON Pass.

oops, somehow missed Big Bear was listed.
For whoever said above that Mountain Collective is being put out of business by this, it seems this is the new Mountain Collective.
