My take away is that the $900 pass is a decent deal for us Mammoth-centered folks and a bum deal if you're at one of the places that only allows 7 days.

And I bet the $600 pass will funnel more traffic into June. Prepare yourselves...

I am not sure what I am going to do. $200 each pass more is quite a big jump in price for us, but I love the convenience of skiing a couple hours at the beginning or the end of our trips and not worrying about the conditions. So we are really going to have to give this some serious thought.

There is also an IKON Base Pass $599 - but not much good for people focused on Mammoth as only five days at Mammoth are permitted, with the typical xmas/mlk/prez blackout periods. The Base Pass is good for unlimited access (subject to blackouts) to Squawlpine - so it's a good option for some.

I'll pay $899 - it's only $100 more than the Premium Pass I bought last year. I'll miss the 1/2 price BAF's for my family. Is discounted pass cash gone?

A season pass to the Aspen resorts this year costs $1,849, which is likely why they capped days at Aspen with the IKON pass.

Not happy that u can’t use the base pass for Mammoth (for more than 5days) but u can for Squaw -what is up with that? But happy that we can take a nice travel trip and spend less $$ at Mammoth since both of us will be retired next year and can take a long trip.

Three major flaws in this IKON pass.
1. No Senior Pass
2. No California Pass
3. Severe limitation on ski days at Mammoth with IKON Base Pass. (limited to 5 days)

What kind of a base pass is that when your base isn't on the list of unlimited? That's kind of strange. And June is considered a base? That's even stranger.
The Epic pass doesn't have limitations like that does it?

I'm out folks and will be giving up my locker at Main. Hope some of my Host friends can spare a few vouchers in future seasons because that will be the only way I will be able to alpine ski on Mammoth or June. I see more free trail xc skiing in my future.

I think Mammoth Resorts are going to lose a LOT of customers over this new pass. Very short-sighted not to offer an unlimited pass for just MM and JM.

I am wondering what the daily lift ticket price is going to be. They can't market that the pass pays for itself under 8 days any more. :@

Is my math bad?
CURRENT weekend lift ticket price = $159
159 x 8 = $1272

Unlimited Mammoth pass = $899 < $1272

In fact that works out to $112/ day for 8 days. I refuse to believe that's a bargain though.

Has it been confirmed that there isn't going to be another pass? (for locals?)

I'm doing the math a little differently, since I don't go for 1 or 2 days, I go for at least 5. Right now, if you buy in advance, the 5 of 7 day ticket is $453, so just under $91 per day. So for me, I'd consider the break even at 10 days, and less than that if any of the trips are less than 5 days. There were some 50% off offers here and there, but it's hard to use those as a for sure thing. Also, my math doesn't account for any increase in the 5 of 7 day, which I would assume there will be.

If they do the Pass Cash Bonus it's typically a no brainer for me, depending on the amount of cash bonus. $20 per $100 is a great return....

I would never pay ticket window price, but I am surprised by how many people actually do. Hence the main reason for me to purchase a pass. Still not 100% sure.

Anybody know when they are on sale until. I see they go on sale 3/6.

Hard to believe there is no senior pass. Looks like we have to decide whether it's still worth skiing MM for about 30$ p/d per season when we have been skiing for about 10$
p/d for the past 4 years. I suppose 30 is still a bargain, but charging over twice as much
is pretty tough to swallow.

Granted they give you the option of skiing some great Mountains, but personally I'd rather they just let us ski only at MM for the same old senior rate.

Probably no more pass cash cuz they give 15% off food and bev with every full pass

Good catch - I didn't notice the food and beverage discount.
