"What will happen to my local pass at home mountain for 2018-2019" Answer: In the coming weeks, more details will be provided regarding local resort passes"

So maybe they will come up with a different product that what is offered with the Cali4nia Pass. Here's hoping.

I will not spend more for a product that I will not use i.e. out of state resorts. So I guess I will enjoy my pass this season even more. I have been a member since 06/07 season.

No such thing anymore but years ago they capped pass sales and called it MVP ( Most Valuable Pass) and we where called Charter MVP members. You had to renew each year to qualify for the pass. So long time pass holders are used to referring to ourselves as members.

No need to be snarky.

I have no idea what you're saying.

I'll be surprised if the new Ikon Pass isn't offered in several variants just like the Epic Pass. It also seems to me that the market dictates that they be competitively priced and maybe even less than the Epic Passes initially with an eye toward try selling it to current Epic Pass customers.

Maybe there will even be a cheaper pass than the current Cali4nia Pass for those that only want to ski/board Mammoth.

Wishful thinking, but I hope you're right.

Something tells me no.

I'm kind of stoked about the I.K.O.N. pass - good friends live near Squaw, so I see us getting together regularly at our Mammoth condo and their near-Squaw house.
Today our passes don't work at each other's resorts - so we don't get together much for skiing. I can also definitely imagine visiting some of the other IKON resorts.

EPIC pass was $859 this year; so "It Kosts Over Nine hundred dollars" doesn't sound too far off to me
I hope the BAF, discounted passcash, early renewal discount perks remain.

I think they are basing it on the Epic pass system. I have a version of that called the Tahoe Value Pass, black out dates and no saturdays, but I usually do not get near Northstar or Heavenly on the weekend.
50 per cent off of all other Vail resorts (approx cost of Value Pass this year was 479.00) - Kirkwood is also included with the Tahoe Value Pass.

My guess is $859 for the ICON pass next season.
How much was our pass this season?

The regular pass was $699 and the "Premium" Pass was $799 - if you were renewing ($50 discount) and bought before April 4.

I could give up holidays, but giving up Saturdays definitely screws with our typical long weekends. If you have a place to stay in Mammoth, either owning or through friends, there isn't much upside to this. Pay more, get less. Ugh.
