The way MMSA kept throwing all passholders nice freebies throughout the season, next season at $599 obviously that would be unlikely. On the other hand in conjunction with how Mammoth will be the last Ikon to close, I think it would be cool if they ran the Military/College database (like where besides Mammoth they went etc) to see which (most?) of those folks weren't really able to travel.

P.S. Whoever's first to know, can we try to find out what to expect re the universality of the pass's RFID/barcode? They want the data, I think that's the main reason for 10% off retail, food & beverage, and lodging.

It's not being offered.

Ouch! That makes ski team for multiple kids much more expensive. That lost discount is will cost me many times the increase in the pass cost.

Does anyone know when I can start using my IKON pass? Can I use it as soon as next month? Or do I have to wait until start of next season?

It's 15% for the IKON pass and 10% for the IKON Base pass.

And I don't know, if anyone has actually bought the base pass. But, I've been attempting to buy it and the site wouldn't allow me to add the passes. I called this morning and they were working on a bug. It's working now.

^ Ah, thanks for the clarification.

Hence why I haven't rushed to purchase the base pass yet. Waiting until Sunday.

At Mammoth you can use it starting April 9th through the end of the season.

Epic vs IKON pricing:
2018-2019 Epic pass pricing is up now. $899 for the all-access pass - same as IKON. The Epic Local Pass is $669 (probably most similar to the IKON Base pass - and a little higher priced). Epic has a lot of other pass options - like the Tahoe Local Pass for $569 (unlimited with holiday blackouts at Kirkwood, Heavenly, and Northstar - and five days at other Epic resorts) which will be a competitor to the IKON Base pass for folks focused on Tahoe.

The Epic military pass is just $99, and is good for active and retired, and their dependents. No restrictions or blackouts. That's a deal!

I bought the Base pass online on Tuesday morning about 10am - everything worked perfect for me - quick and easy. I still need to upload my photo for the new pass...

Ikon and Epic should offer that same deal to active and retired Law enforcement and fire and their dependents.

Why? They're actually as or more likely to travel to ski than almost anybody, certainly more than M-F 9-5ers, teachers, etc.

And way more likely to travel than students and military, holy crap I tried to explain this already in I guess another thread LOL.
