The other thing I did to restore silence was I changed political parties. The (D)'s and the (R)'s have huge war chests that they can annoy you with. Everyone else does not - or register "undeclared", either way. My wife and I were registered on opposite sides of the aisle so we would come home to a full answering machine for weeks leading up to the election. Not anymore - we both changed and the calls have ended completely. National primaries are over by the time they get to CA and the state primaries are now top 2 so you really aren't missing out on anything.

Good insight BD.

Not gonna explain it cuz it'd prolly hurt folks' feelings, but putting yer number on the Do Not Call Registry is counter-productive.

I got in and expect to get $100 or so. I once got over $200 from a hotel chain robocall class action.

I wonder if we'll ever know what happened to the employee who suggested what a great idea the robocalls would be. Seems like MMSA lost well over 10% of their season pass gross from the screwup.

Edit: the check's in my mailbox right now at home, time to buy more Kinco gloves!!!

Edit2: cha-ching the doc sez $345.37, I'll do Edit3 when I return from D.C.

So you got $345 and the rest of us got $328? What's up with that?

lmao - you're not saying that sending a list of known to be active phone numbers to companies looking for prospective clients would be used improperly, are you?

i still do it because one day this square peg will fit into round hole

Not important, too late now, yadda yadda. But (dunno if folks read the OP link) even Mammoth's Finance Officer recommended that everybody claim their check.

Furthermore, if you're against lawyers turning the screws on Mammoth etc, by not claiming the check you raised the likelihood that the lawyers would be MORE REWARDED not less. That's cuz the max payout to us was $500 each if not enough people claimed. Anything left over (if not enough claimed) went to some putative charity but for all we know the lawyers coulda picked a charity that sent their kids to study in Europe or something LOL.

Bottom Line if only half as many claimed as actually did, the lawyers woulda had an extra $634,000 for "themselves".
