I'm considering buying a Lib Tech T. Rice Pro board and I'm looking for a board shop in SoCal that has good prices hopefully an end of the season sale going on. I've found the board online for $359 so I'm hoping to find a price that's close. In Mammoth it was closer to $400 at P3. Wave Rave was out of stock as were the Mammoth shops.

Any suggestions?

I'm in OC and the only place I'd really go aside from like a Sport Chalet type place would be Surfside Sports in Costa Mesa.

Hey my son works at Olympus.

I am probably biased but it is a good shop. But what do I know, I ski.

DO NOT go to a sport chalet type shop... Shop local, google it in your area and shop at the little mom and pop style shops where the sales person is actually a knowledgable skier/snowboarder... put money into small business, this USA!

That's the problem in San Diego - few of those shops left and I couldn't find any that carry Lib Tech.

^^^ I checked Wave Rave when I was up 2 weeks ago and they were out of stock. P3 did have one in stock and they discounted it to almost match the online stores. I may wait and just buy it next time I'm up.

Val Surf in Studio City always treated me fair in my snowboarding years. Bit of a drive from SD but I think they have an online store as well. Good luck.

I second Valsurf, though the Woodland Hills location is my local. They've always been cool to deal with. I think 25% is the max discount they advertise, but they're quick to throw in an extra discount if you ask. They also do a 5% reward program.

I checked out ValSurf's website but they apparently don't sell snowboards online. Maybe I'll stop in next time I'm driving through LA.

Thanks for the tips.

Does anyone have any experience or feedback on the Lib Tech HP core versus standard? It appears the T.Rice Pro HP is about $80 more expensive. I'm looking at the T.Rice Pro C2-BTX HP Pointy Tip

I would find what your looking for first then look online and local. I've bad better times with returns from online then a local shop also..

http://www.lib-tech.com/dealer-locator/

I purchased 3 Lib-tech's over the years from Sports LTD also.

Berg is very good online.
