I put two rips in my jacket on Sunday when I hit some rocks that were under thin coverage. Who in town does quality repair work at a fair price? I don't want to have to ride with duck tape on my jacket to hold the down in...

Absolutely, they do all my shortening on ski clothing, and as I'm vertically challenged, that's a lot of shortening, and they always do a wonderful job.

Yup, there is a seamstress office inside the Main Lodge, although you will need a guide to find it! Do ask a lodge host or at the ticket office and someone can direct you.

I just stopped in there with a friend I was skiing with yesterday, who had a big rip in the seam of his ski pants. Leslie was off yesterday, but Cat was there and fixed it in 10 minutes! :)

Not sure, but its probably not much. They did an awesome job repairing a huge 10" rip at the knee of one of my ski pants, and it ended up being like $10.

They charge somewhere between $5 and $10 for hemming, I believe.

It depends. If they have to deal with zippers or powder cuffs it will probably be about $20.

How about a seamstress for a nice dress? hemming the bottom and bringing in the waist on a long gown for my wife?

You can still call Leslie, although at home (she is back working for MMSA on a p/t basis, but I don't know if she does her work on the premises or at home) at (760) 934-6027. She can sew/repair just about anything! (She altered my wedding dress nearly 20 years ago and did an outstanding job!) Tell her I sent ya! :call:

She just shortened some ski pants for me, hubby, and a friend. Did a great job as usual.

You will need to drop off and pick up your altered items at her home.

Glad you gave Leslie some work and you were happy with the outcome.

We spoke to her today about a replacement of the elastic straps on SG's old respirator mask. She is going to be kind enough to drop by our place next Tuesday since she has to "fit" him in it. She can work miracles with the sewing machine! :y:
