I was disappointed in Morrison's. The mushrooms were the best thing I ordered, and the cocktails were very good, but the pizza was nothing special and certainly not worth the price, and the "angel hair" pasta was *way* overcooked. I probably won't go there again, unfortunately.

^ Oh that's too bad. I loved the mushrooms, too.

They have gone through two site managers since they re-opened. Oy!

My wife and I ate at Morrison's on Sunday 4/30 - 1st time. She had the barramundi , and I had the NY steak . We split the Hamachi tostada and caesar salad. I had sculpin on draft and she had the cucumber gin fizz. We thought it was good and will go again (although Petra's remains a favorite).

We ate at Campo on Saturday night - 7:45 reservation. Call me crazy but I like Campo. Service was slow, and the manager came out to apologize and credit us 50% of the food bill for the delay. I was enjoying the evening and didn't notice the slow service - so that was a bonus. The June Lake DIPA on draft there is awesome (even if it comes in a small glass). On our way back from Mono Lake Sunday afternoon, we stopped at the JL Brewery to buy a couple 22oz bottles to bring home (I haven't been able to find the bottles in TOML).

Walked down and treated myself for lunch to a new restaurant in town (it just opened on 12/27), Samurai, where Shogun used to be. Owned by two brothers who both used to work at Ramenya. Serving mostly Udon Noodles and some sushi with the sushi bar opening in the near future. It was my first time eating these noodles and I really enjoyed the Samurai Udon today. Will return to try more soon! Open for lunch and dinner.

^ Went again last night for dinner with RBS and Skipunk. Tried the Samurai Soba and it was delicious. Also had a crab hand roll which was very tasty. The gang liked what they had, too and we all agreed we'd return.

What does it mean "limited to 30 dishes"? Does that mean they only have 30 dishes of that item for the whole evening?

SL, thanks for the review. We'll be checking them out on our next trip up.

^^^That does look good SL. Will try next time.
If that's the case with the only 30 dishes; freshness counts to them plus they don't want to make too much and toss it.

Ha! I remember back years ago suggesting someone open a pho or noodle place up in Mammoth. Good to see it finally happened. Its quick, its warm, and its relatively inexpensive.
