Unbelievable how the lifeguards had to run from a giant wave at Waimea.

Big wave surfing has been redefined this winter. The waves at Jaws, Waimea, Todos, Mavericks and other spots around the world have been producing. And these guys are paddling into them now. So many outstanding performances. The contest at Jaws was amazing and the Eddie was the best surfing event in the history of contest surfing.

This will go down as the best big wave winter ever. And it's not over...
