"You say that like its a bad thing."

No, I did not. I just stated it as a fact that Mormons know how to make dough. Good for them!

And just what is it Shifty that we are going to get banned for? Speaking the truth?

I know the Mormon history better than they or you do, and it isn't pretty. The reason why they were run out of Nauvoo and every other place and had to go to Utah was because they were so successful at business that they would take over the political block of every town they lived in or created. The gentiles didn't like the lack of separation of church and state and were jealous. Bad stuff happened on both sides and still does. Remember Mountain Meadows!

I may not agree with the Mormon religion, but I do like the people and their fantastic western history. I lived there amongst them, and they were real kind to me. So if you think I am going to say anything bad about them, you can kiss my ass!

So I don't give a husky...if Mitt wins. And besides, Seldom Seen was a jack.

Dunno if folks realize the damage of the Flynn plea today.

No bargain woulda been offered unless he has info against bigger fish. Kushner's in serious trouble, a member of the freaking family. Watergate was nothing.

(Pence too?) And of course the Flynn admission of guilt (even without the spilling of secrets) greatly magnifies the Fire Comey problem for guess who...POTUS.

I don't think it matters much what they say or do. Republicans vote Republican. Democrats vote Democrat. Unless their candidate is really out there like the Republicans were in the last elections. But ask any Republican, "Who is going to win this election?" and they will say, "Romney. . .by a landslide."

Can any Republican here on the forum prove me wrong?

I hope Obama wins, just for the hope of four more years without starting another war.

Fun reading these old posts.
And just as accurate today.

Well I think it's safe to say there's no way Yertle the Turtle and this congress would ever impeach a republican POTUS. So any change in status will come by other means. That's not to say others won't fall, but I'm not holding my breath about a turnover in the oval office.

If Gen Flynn and John Dean are equivalent, it took 16 months after the latter began cooperating, when finally the Rs put country above party. Without their pressure Nixon might have completed the term.

You can't find a Kushner figure in Watergate though, especially the family link. Remember it's black-and-white whether Kushner and Manafort were paid in rubles in their private lives. NTTAWWT but what a coincidence it's the same country!!!??? On so many levels. Just like Flynn. The experts in the campaign just happened to be the experts on working with Russian banks, hmmm....

So what becomes of pardons if it's state tax felonies that topple everything?

Rep Conyers finally resigned in disgrace after resisting for so long. It's a great start.

Post-election many hare-brained pundits put him in the 2020 field. They probably read my posts about how the most intelligent voters like to cast their ballots for their TV friends. But c'mon pundits, there's subsets within that -- Don Knotts ≠ Andy Griffith.

In case you missed Al Franken's resignation speech I'll paraphrase: "Hey it's not fair that I have to resign, Trump did it too!"

No apologies, no remorse, just more denial.

Are you nuts? The quote you're trying to reference needs no paraphrasing. It's one sentence long. Why have you made up the weird notion that irony has anything to do with fairness?

"I, of all people, am aware that there is some irony in the fact that I am leaving while a man who has bragged on tape about his history of sexual assault sits in the Oval Office, and a man who has repeatedly preyed on young girls campaigns for the Senate with the full support of his party."

Most people all over the country, according to every poll I've seen, think the RNC is nuts to support Roy Moore. How about you?

I think Roy Moore is unfit for just about ANY job nevermind public service but what has that got to do with Franken crying about having to resign?
