To be honest, since its been cloudy all day with some rain supposedly arriving my thoughts turned to FOOD. Specifically things that would make the room warmer from the cooking. Its the change of seasons!

Ive been in ETMeats recently a couple times and Ive forgotten to ask about it each time. Ive been makin some wicked beef bone broth for a sick friend. 7-10# of rib bone at a time once a week. House smells like browned beef. Vegans are picketing.

lmao - that's right. the brahman bump being the new brisket point.

I miss ETMeats, but I've been using Electric City butcher at the 4th St Market in SNA a few times.

Pricey - but local(ish) and clean.

Flat. I smoked it for 3 hours on Saturday, wrapped it in plastic overnight, then braised it for 3 hours in beer and onions and tomatoes and garlic and some other stuffs. Oh my gosh it was good. I think I have to remember my photobucket password if I want to post pics.

I told SG last year after slaving for hours in the kitchen for Thanksgiving over the years for just the two of us, that I'm done. The only thing I'm making for the holiday are reservations. Morrison's menu and price sounds perfect, then The Mogul for my birthday two weeks later!
