Repost from the weather thread:

Pic from my friend when she was on her way to Reno today:

"Truckee river near Boca Lake east of Truckee. Don't think I ever saw the Truckee this high and definitely never this dirty."

That is the color of the water running down the Bear River into Rollins Reservoir. NTU of 40-60. My canals look that way too. It is tough to treat and deliver to the customer.
It will not settle out for for awhile. Bummer.

Day tripping to Squaw - great conditions, lots of NLT locals and some IKON talk. All in all it was a good day.

Also skied Shirley Lake Lift and Granite Chief, both were also very good.

Thanks WZ for all of your reports this season (and past seasons for that matter)! It's been far too long since I've made it back there. Who's in for a Mammoth-Tahoe summit next season? <raises hand>

Count me in! Hopefully I will have a few more trip reports left in me this season. ^_^

Rose closed today and so did Alpine Meadows, leaving Squaw and Mammoth. Not too shabby in my book.

Thursday, 5-3-18, Squaw Valley. Great Spring conditions. Just the NLT locals and season pass holders. The US Ski Team was running off of Shirley Lake Express - Marillac's Run - Michaela Schiffren has been working out here. Did not get to see her run the gates.... Update, just saw the Mammoth Mtn FB post, looks like Michaela is there getting her training in......

Looking towards Siberia Bowl from top of Gold Coast Lift

Top of Gold Coast - Lake Tahoe in distance. The snow was very creamy off of this chair

Top of Siberia Lift. I think the SP had their "Kook" counters on. I heard a click as I skied by....

The Palisades still had some "Corinices" this late in the season

In the Squaw Village they have this nice coffee place called "Coffeebar". various locations in Reno and Truckee etc. Nice way to start my Squaw ski day

My season is done for now.....waiting for November 2018. But there is this.....

Somebody decided to jump from from the Gold Coast Lift into the snow making pond at Squaw. That IKON pass might be done for the 2018-2019 year
