IMO, US has already overachieved, and I'm really proud.
That said I predict Germany 4 US 2, Thursday. I will take being very wrong.

Freaking MEX fans are goin bananas around town. You'd think they won the cup already.
That was a heated match. The Croats weren't that friendly near the end. Even in the stands there was brawls.
Too bad NED is gonna take MEX 3-1.

Speaking of...
That NED v Chile match was really competitive, too. They both wanted to not play Brazil, bad.

^^^ I hope you're wrong by 2 goals!

A tie is a win for both countries. I hope the US comes out and plays hard and strong. A win would send a statement.

I heard today that 25 million people in the US watched the game Sunday - a new record for soccer in the US and more than watched the NBA Finals. Impressive.

World Cup fans are by far the most colorful fans of any sporting event and seem to be having the most fun too. I'm really glad Brazil has been able to pull it off as well as they have. It didn't look promising!

Some amazing upsets and surprises already. US - MEX in the semis???

I thought this was funny;
http://www.boston.com/sports/soccer/2014/06/25/why-your-professional-athlete-might-biting-you-how-make-him-stop/mDt95inHFlLCFmWHHobF7I/story.html

Did anyone else notice that the Italian player swung his elbow, then immediately went for the flop to draw the penalty? Just a guess, but I'd be willing to bet a US player would have confirmed he got bit, then decked the guy. There comes a point where it goes from a penalty to assault, and that line was crossed big time here.

The denials are maybe the funniest part of this whole thing;
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soccer-dirty-tackle/uruguay-fa-claim-luis-suarez-bite-pictures-were--photoshopped--171211241.html
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/players/luis-suarez/10926248/Luis-Suarez-claims-bite-on-Giorgio-Chiellini-was-casual-play-and-World-Cup-ban-is-English-and-Italian-conspiracy.html

"casual play" LOL! Maybe he was trying to give him a hickey?

I really hope the US wins or at least gets the draw against Germany. They still have a decent chance of advancing even with a loss but a win would be awesome.

A draw at the half is a great result. The US looked shaky initially but settled in and played well. So far things are going perfectly in both matches for the US to advance.

^^^ thanks for the laugh 2NA!

Great result and an exciting finish to the game. Only thing that matters of course is that the US advances.

Not sure the US saw Germany with their foot fully on the gas today, but will certainly take it. I'd say it's Germany and Argentina, then everyone else at this point. Even Brazil has looked sub-par (for them). One thing is for sure; Belgium is not Germany - not even close.
