SERIOUSLY!
We returned from trick-or-treating (we have a 4-year-old) on Tuesday and I thought I'd sit down and watch the end of the WS. As I was trying to find the channel, I ran across Women's curling (US vs. Scotland) and was transfixed - as always. I actually missed the end of the WS game. -SPOILER ALERT - If you watched it (and lets face it, why wouldn't you?), I thought the "closest to the pin" rock was a dumb way to end it, but then I'm the guy who will walk out of the end of a hockey game when it goes to penalty shots. I mean, keep playing or don't, nothing wrong with a tie if you can't be bothered.

Anyone else?

Dont like ending in pks. Condensed as hockey is a golden goal in ot works.

In futbol I would like playing it out in periods until someone puts it in and defends. That gives refs a lot of arbitrary power though.

AFA curling. I didnt know it existed outside the Olympics. They should duel w brooms to the death.

My cousins got the itch to try it after the last Olympics and they did it in the Valley. I guess there is an active club or something. They liked it. I think to be successful you have to look good in slacks.

Women's curling has been happening here in Mammoth at our rink the past couple of seasons. I saw the sign-up's for it again this season on FB via "Mammoth Hockey" aka: "Grumpy" who used to post on this forum!

The town never bought curling stones because they are too expensive. MLR says they bought curling stones this year but I have no idea how they are going to play since you can't put any lines or markings on the ice.

Out of curiosity, how much do curling stones cost?
