I just got hired as a Social Worker for Mono and the office is on Old Mammoth Road. I'm 43, female and I don't smoke or party. I have a minture Anerican Eskamo named Jackson Pollack and he is 7. I recently dischareged from the military and Jackson is my partner. I'm looking to share a place or get the cheapest place I can because I still own a house with my husband in Calaveras. My husband wont be joining me to live in Mono but will be visiting from time to time. I am an oil panter and a bee keeper. Good luck Renee. You might have a better chance to find a place due to the lack of snow. If you get squeezed out of Mammoth there is also Bishop to consider.

Being a social worker is a tough job. I hope you step on any frauds that come your way and bust them. They do not take action in Bishop on these type flakes, and it is a huge problem for the community and the nation.

Fair warning that nothing is "cheap" in our resort town of Mammoth Lakes. You will most likely have a difficult time finding much to choose from now that the ski season has begun and many seasonal employees have moved in to town and are still arriving. It's best if you can come here for a few days and hit all the real estate offices and check out the "For Rent" or "Roommate Wanted" flyers at all the coffee shop bulletin boards around town, including the one at the Post Office.
