Old-newby to Mammoth. Newby to this board.

Just started skiing again in 2011 after a 15 year layoff. Been mostly flying to Snowbird for a week here & there, and going to the local LA places when I only have the day. Got a little more hardcore over the summer, riding my road bike and getting into much better shape. Seems to be paying off.

Went up to Mammoth opening weekend for the first time in 20 years. (I used to ski here alot during the 70s and 80s.) Had alot of fun on the groomers. I'll be making weekend trips here and there during the season. Can't wait to ski the top again!

Now if it would only start dumping!

You came to the right place, because there are a lot of geezers on here who will not give up. Not for one minute.

They are involved, on the go, interested in life, like to hang outdoors, and love people and animals.

What more could you want and a chance to meet some right fine friends?

The young whippersnappers are cool, too. They are just a younger version of us.

Lack of snow does not stop us from having fun. We will just do more skating.

Later skater!
