Yay...our first good storm in town and boy what a mess it is out there. Cops are out with dozens of accidents and disabled vehicles without chains. They are shuttling people to Chevron for chains...duh! R1 in town and now R2 to Main Lodge. Tomorrow morning will be entertaining!

The radar loop on Snowman's site is looking really good :D We are about to get the second band of snow with the third band currently over the Bay Area!!

^ Well if it doesn't start snowing again SL-on-a-stick will stay in the coat closet. Right now it's just super windy with blowing snow...in town. Hope more is coming!

The next shortwave is moving towards Mammoth and should drop 3 to 5" or so tonight.

Okay, I'm now removing that last "s" from "stormss".

I was planning on making today my first day back out on the slopes, but I have a head cold, plus it's cloudy with flat light and windy so it's just as well I'm not up to skiing yet. Maybe Sunday on my b-day I'll take a few runs. Or I may go up to Tamarack XC Ski Center as they just opened yesterday!
