Of course, not on the Rose Parade.

Saturday Night
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 10pm, then a chance of showers. Low around 38. West southwest wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

New Year's Day
Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 10

Raining again. Most of the day was sunny and pretty nice out. My precip forecast was .30 from storm one (news heads said 1/4-1/2 for the basin) and I got less than an 8th this morning. If I get a quarter total by morning Im on track.

Monday? Oh I forgot those antiquated customs from yesteryear.

In the meantime I'm still waiting for someone to create the cleverly titled Jan. thread.

12Z GFS still brings in a storm around the 8th-9th.

Its interesting [to me] that it is not in deference to religion but to traffic. All the high strung horses at churches complicated the parade route logistics.

Well I have given the thread title some thought. Just not clever enough.

OT...

Since Suddenlink decided to remove KTLA from our viewing area, Mammoth Lakes now receives no LA news. Therefore, we will not be able to watch the Rose Parade on TV Monday morning. :fubar: I looked at their website though and thank goodness they stream the parade live with no interruptions and then have replays with commercials afterwards.

The 48 hour has increased!

On my forecast table it says the snow level will be 4300 ft. during the heaviest period of precip. too!
