County with 6+" in the Rocky Butte area, 1.5-3" in SBA County,
1-2.5" in Ventura Co, and 0.75-2" in LA County.

They mentioned lightning 250 miles offshore and its starting to show on the Blitzortung map now.

It sure seems like things are actually further south than they keep forecasting.

There's the one strong cell on the radar that is just starting to go around pt. Concep....

"A line of strong thunderstorms over the waters is about 20 miles west of Point Arguello and is headed toward the Santa Barbara Channel. This dangerous storm has been producing frequent lightning with gusts up to 40 knots. Choppy seas are certain around this storm, and waterspouts are possible."

Look at this latest WV image. Now there's oranges showing up in those big clouds out in the PAC toward the intense side of the moisture scale.

6 hours later and now look at the oranges blooming in that line of clouds offshore.

The local resorts might have dodged a bullet on this one. 3 days of heavy rain would have wiped out whatever snowpack they have now.
