There's a bunch of condos along the river that have garages that will flood in addition to the bottom floor of the Fashion Valley mall. There are cars already stuck.

The SD River is above the moderate flood level hitting 13.75 as of an hour ago. That's the 4th highest level in the last 100 years. The forecast peak of 14.3 feet would be the third highest. The record was set in January 1916 during the Charles Hatfield aka "The Rainmaker" flood. Back then 19 feet would have been a lot wider than it would be today so I can't even imagine how much water that would be.

What I find remarkable is the amount of rock that has been eroded. I read that the bedrock turned out to be softer than expected.

They have a live web cam of the big O'dam repairs. That way we can make sure the work is being done properly...

The California-Nevada River Forecast Center is forecasting the

I'm surprised the snowmelt isnt high. I guess they can get away with the spillway as it is for the Summer.

The inflow has been steady flat line and seems to come back to life the last two days. Snow melt with minimal thunderstorm activity.

Here's a look at the last 119 days... Might be a little difficult to read on a small screen.

Sis just came back from Kings Canyon and said the water was flooding the trail at points on the canyon floor. She also got dumped on a hike from a tstorm, which I'm assuming is contributing to the flow. There's signs posted all over about not going into the water.
