I know all the snow this year has caused a lot of headaches for the town and a lot of the damage is just starting to show as the snow banks melt, but overall I think this has been a banner year for business in the town. It seems every weekend the occupancy rates have been pretty high. I'm hoping for a repeat next year.

Students have been on 'Spring Breaks' since late Feb. One son was on break starting Feb 25, one started Mar 11, the other started on Mar 18. Saturday, Mar 25 was about the most crowded I have ever seen (never go up during Xmas week). Everything was tracked out within 30 minutes of opening. Left at 11am as I got tired of the lines and didn't want to wait for upper lifts to open just to wait in more lines for perhaps two decent runs. However, Thur Mar 23 was absolutely fantastic and Friday was great until I could only see white...

It should snow in the morning. Something to blow around.

The title of this thread either jinxed this month or was a spot on forecast.

Maybe we should go with Apocalyptic April for this next month. I could use a little more excitement than this last month. I"m definitely suffering from withdrawals after Jan. and Feb. I need a fix and I need one bad. A little wild spring weather would be nice. :rain: \o/ :rain:

By far the most wind I've experienced driving through the Owens Valley

Any dust?

Drove through one of those massive dust storms in Lancaster about two years back... SKETCHY to say the least

Lots of dust including some so thick it was like hitting a wall of fog.

They turned around any tall vehicles at Pearsonville today. Whole parking area was full of big rigs, campers etc. Looked like they were stopping anything tall southbound at Lone Pine. I agree, never saw such strong winds, dust clouds and tumbleweeds. Even the Outback was getting pushed around.
