We will see if it lives up to expectations....
A title just like the forecast, everybody putting in their two cents. ;)
A good thing.

I hope my baby horse this month doesn't come out an Appaloosa - that would mean there was a mix up....

...it was hot, turned on the AC in the truck. It's all uphill from herE to summer.
..wait
..LoX this pm
"Saturday we'll see a very rapid cooling trend as a trough enters
the area and a weak eddy spins up a marine lyr at least for
coastal zones. Highs will drop 10-15 degrees from friday's levels,
perhaps as much as 20 right at the coast. Low clouds should clear
out but some clouds could linger at the beaches through the
afternoon.

Models remain in pretty good agreement for Sunday showing a
relatively weak system and cold front moving through the area. Not
really a ton of moisture or energy available with it but likely
enough to at least drop some light precip in most areas by Sunday
afternoon. Amounts generally a quarter inch or less. Snow levels
around 6000 feet and possibly an inch or two of snow with it.
Probably not worthy of an advisory at this point. The only model
difference is the NAM is maybe 6 hours slower than the GFS/European model (ecmwf)
so timing may still need some adjustment as we get closer."

[I'm guessing one of those .05" roof drippers.]

It's so nice out it's hard to imagine all that snow in the Sierra.

Wind out of the NE this morning and I see the hang gliders are already up soaring the ridge.

I bought a cart cover for my golf cart so It probably won't rain here again.

Looking forward to staying at the Furnace Creek Inn next month and golfing for five days. It's going to be huge!

LoX's colorful forecast snippets this AM... gets to the point.
Short term...(tdy-sun)
"A pretty glorious day on tap today." (SB verified so it's true)
"Hgts will fall through the day on Saturday. The big news of the day will be the Max temps which will
crash faster than the hindenburg.

Sunday will be a cloudy day due to the combination of low mid and
high clouds. More importantly it will be a wet day.
There is a fair amount of south winds with
this system so while the coastal and Vly Flatlands will still
likely see about a quarter inch of rainfall the coastal foothills
and coastal slopes could see 2 to 3 times that amount. Snow levels
will fall to between 5500 and 6000 feet across the interior but
will be much higher closer to the coast due the warm south flow.
Most of the moisture will be away from the colder air so do not
think there will be that much snowfall esp blo 7000 feet."
