Short term...(tdy-wed)

The long-awaited arrival of strong northwest flow is almost at
hand. Already seeing some gusts to around 40 mph in the Antelope
Valley and in some of the mountain areas near the i5 corridor. As
the day GOES on winds will become stronger and more widespread.
Few places will escape the gusty winds though not everywhere will
reach advisory or warning levels.

Little anecdote.
The winds have been a little odd. Blowin hard NW by 11am and capped ugly ocean but then the evenings have glassed off. It just seemed like it shut off earlier than average for Spring. More like Summer glass offs.

Then Saturday night I had planned some night op fishing locally after the dying front of the weekend downherE. It didnt glass off. It blew 10-15kts all day and into the night and by 10pm it was still NW @10 and sloppy but forecast (NWS marine S of San Mateo and out 30mi) to drop off. We chanced it and launched aiming to exit DP Harbor at midnight. Like a switch it turned OFF and conditions were great w just a nice big groundswell to rock the night away. Tons of whales and dolphin and stars. Catching sucked. Back at the harbour by 9am and the wind was near NW @10 again and the conditions were on the verge coming back.
Ediy currently SW @4.

^^Pollen = can't think straight :drunk:
This was an odd wind event. Very still now..
Last night was howling in the 30's,40's and even 59 then go to a dead calm...then a cleanup set would come out of nowhere.

That's what I was referring to.. ;)
It's funny as life changes cleanup set takes on a new meaning. It has something to do with a rake and/or leaf skimmer.... :-?

Cheaps, it was a combo dusty pollen devil.....
We didn`t get any rain over HeRe lately. I live in a weather bubble. Not much ever happening unless its a extreme event. Then we get a touch of it.
Bug Guy was here yesterday..... Buggageddon this summer according to him :) And we have a bumper crop of lizards outside lately. They love the warm pavers :)
