Later half of the week we should see some good buildups. Mainly over and E of the mountains w a slim chance to the coast. Standing by.

It also looks warm. The marine layer has pulled back the last 2daze and that bodes well for good viewing at the coast and a comfortable evening.

The monsoon has arrived HeRe! Hope it doesn't rain on the Jazz Weekend at the Village or our big fundraiser Jazz by the Creek event at the Hayden Cabin on Sunday.

Yup, it's been raining off and on for the past several hours, but it's still 82!

I'm piggybacking, but this was in tonight's SF disco.

One other thing that will need to be watched for as we head into
the first part of next week is potential risk of high-based
convection, especially our southernmost zones, as models show
possibility of a weak upper level disturbance and associated
subtropical moisture moving in from the south.

If they think its going to be that far north then surely SoCal must really be getting it.

LOX

Models continue to show the most abundant
moisture of this Monsoonal surge moving up on Sunday, and the
slight chance therefore covers much of the interior sections up
through San Luis Obispo County.

The forecast reflects the typical idea of southwest flow
aloft shutting down any Monsoonal threat of thunderstorms,
however there is a chance that thunderstorms will still be on the
radar as moisture aloft is pulled well off the Baja coast by soon-
to-be hurricane Eugene. Models continue to show the high building
back toward the west toward the end of next week, with a possible
return of hot conditions and moist southeast flow aloft.

I dont know what it is this year, but I usually look at the temp. forecast a few days ahead and its usually very close. This year, if I check every day 4 days out, the temp. has been cranked up every day. Today its about 10 degrees over what it was a few days ago.

It got completely overcast in SD this afternoon and even looked foggy downtown then around 6pm all the clouds dissipated except for a thin line over the ocean. Ridiculously hot and humid with temps in the mid 90s.

This cell blew up by murietta w thunder n lightning went over Elsinore and the S end of the SAs and lost its punch. No lightning after the mountains but the cell rotated all the way up to PV.

Big line headed SW at the CO river valley still even w/o the sun heating.
