Hanford this AM -
Aside from the wind, the big weather story today will be the
cooler temperatures. There's no doubt that highs this afternoon
will be a good ten to fifteen degrees below normal. In most
places, today will be the coolest day since the 12th of June.
Hikers and campers in the High Sierra may be in for a rude
awakening today as temperatures dip into the 30s and are
accompanied by snow showers.

Looked like more than snow showers. Have you checked out the cams? Winter wonderland even at Canyon Lodge.

Be for some nice picture taking....w/fall colours. 8-)
I think some of the unprepared campers/hikers might not be feeling the same way about it.

Nice coverage on the mountain; was not expecting that. Dont think much will stick with high 60s expected next week. But still beautiful pictures from today

I guess the mountain picked up about 3-5 inches, nice early start for the season.

Then again:

Looked like more than 5" up top to me based on how high it was up the sign. Regardless it looks beautiful on the cams and all the pics on social media.

The report I got was 8 inches... direct from the head of Cat Crew. Poor lift crew cannot drive around to get their work done now. Only tracks are working

Eight inches ? !! Wow, I was hoping to hike up to Lake Ediza tomorrow morning, That may not be doable now. It definitely will make for some beautiful pics though.

This Instagram video says 8-10" on the ridge. Looks fun but definitely super low tide.

So crazy! I drove home Wednesday, looked like I just missed it although I was up there for a hiking/fishing trip so it's one of those rare times where I'm ok I missed the snow ;)
