TUESDAY October 24 at 7:00PM
Chris Smallcomb – National Weather Service- Reno, Nevada
Winter 2017-18: Is It Time to Freak-out [Buy Bread] Yet?
After last year's relentless winter of snow, wind, and flooding people are understandably wondering what next winter will bring. Chris will put last winter in historical context, cover what we know and what we don't about the forecast for this winter, and discuss the current predictability of winter hazards in our region. We'll also have time for AaMA "ask a meteorologist anything"
Chris Smallcomb is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the National Weather Service forecast office in Reno. He's the primary liaison between the NWS in Reno and emergency management, public safety, and media partners in eastern California, the Sierra, and western Nevada. He's been in the NWS for 17 years.
Id like to attend but too far for a Tuesday. Any takers willing to TR?
