Anything over 200mph is windy even by Mammoth standards!

:P

I remember back in the day when they use to keep the lifts open even with winds gusting to 598 mph, now they shut them down for no reason at all.

No reason at all.

Long range qpf back to a wet last week of February. Still in the 3 to 4" range. Hope it verifies.

Mammoth web cams look good this morning. Rare sight for the village cam, actual snow falling.

MMSA reporting 3-4" on the hill (most lifts at Main shut down due to wind) and we barely got an inch in our 'hood in town. Sun is coming out down here. Next.

With the temperature at Main Lodge only 10° that's gotta be some Platinum Powder™ even if it is only 6 inches.

Guessing 15:1 to maybe 20:1 . That's Utah powder.

Wow, it looks like it is going to be an incredible day out there today. Wish I was there this morning.
For those able to make it on to the mountain, Enjoy!

Seems like at least 20:1 and I wouldn't be surprised if it's more like 30:1.

This is a rare storm for Mammoth.

Glad that the slider stalled over us most of yesterday and last night! This was the first morning all season I could actually use SL-on-a-stick to measure snow on our front porch railing...4" of very light, dry snow that I virtually swept off the porch! Great to see that MM picked up 12-14". The top is open and it's 1 degree, but still socked in with 44 mph wind. Enjoy powder hounds!

It's nice to finally see SL on a stick. Let's hope for lots more storminess in late February and all of March.
